More and more often, frustrated customers come to us, having recently emerged from a traditional web redesign process that did not produce the desired results. Why? Traditional web redesign is a process that hasn't worked for years now 1. It is difficult to set goals It's difficult to perform analysis in advance, so a new website is often launched (late and over budget) without having a specific goal in mind. Very often the redesign process starts from the definition of what the company represents, what its market is, what services or products it offers and what features and sections of the existing website need to be updated or built.
Subsequently, the strategic team carries out checks and reviews on the company website and the contents present until it arrives at hypothesizing an information architecture suitable for the company and starting with wireframes and design. Often, however, only Web Development Services once Pandora's box has been opened do we realize the situation we find ourselves in. A simple cart on an eCommerce site can turn out, for example, to be the worst nightmare given that the online purchasing system must integrate with the warehouse management system because the company managers have decided that this is the right time to do so (given that the website is in the process of being redesigned.
Or the blog that was simply supposed to be imported from the old website, in reality, does not present quality images and visual content and therefore requires new, unexpected work and so on... the list gets longer, the times expand and the costs double! 2. The redesign takes place in isolation The website redesign process takes place in a glass bell that isolates the company from the user. Once the website redesign contract has been signed, the initial brief meetings have been concluded.
